Sam, before.
The surface of this piece was already in great shape, so I removed the knobs, lightly sanded it, and applied primer. I painted the body of the dresser white and chose a latex paint in a light teal for the drawers. I covered the drawers completely with several coats of the light teal, waited for them to dry, then taped off my chevron pattern. I painted over the drawers with a slightly darker shade of teal, let dry, removed the tape, and revealed the lighter color below. Lovely!
For the knobs, I found these adorable cast iron bears, but they were black. I wanted to pull the white of the frame into the drawers, so I painted the bears white and transformed them into polar bears. Adorable and gender neutral! This changing table is ready for it's new home.
