This rocking chair had been sitting outside on a porch for quite some time and was dusty, weathered, and drab. My client, on the other hand, was full of life and color. We discussed color options during the consultation, and red and teal came up as the top two choices. I’ve been aching to do this color combination layered together and she was super excited to have both colors showing at the same time. We picked out the exact shades and I was off!
Here are some more before pictures and some images throughout the process. Enjoy!
Once the chair was covered in teal, I used two types of sandpaper- one a finer grit and another coarser grit- to remove the teal and expose the red below. This color combination is great because it creates excellent contrast. The chair is bright and bold now!
