Porch, before.
Porch, before.
This recently purchased home came with a second story three season porch that was full of potential, but currently dark and drab. The previous owners put up bead board and poorly painted it shades of maroon and tan. My client recently had twins and was hoping to get more use out of the space, both as a playroom and place for guests and adults. By dividing the room in half, we were able to accomplish both! To the left, an adult space was created with a daybed that could serve as both a guest space as well as a sitting area, and, to the right, a play space with foam flooring, toys, and storage is underway. I purchased, sanded, stained, and sealed common boards to create the shelves, then affixed them to the wall with black brackets. The color palette consists of warm wood tones, whites, and pops of greenery. I love how much life the plants add to the space! Here is the progress so far, the play space is still to come!
