What a hunk of trash this could have been! Here’s what’s great about acquiring pieces of furniture that are so unfortunate- I can explore, create, play, experiment, and let my artistic side go wild because- worst case- I learn a lot and send it to the curb. The freedom is fantastic.
I selected Benjamin Moore’s Nantucket Blue, which is an absolutely stunning color and will likely be used again. Copper spray paint and a bit of lace created a ridiculously cool effect, as though the dresser was caught outdoors basking in the warm glow of a sunset. I love how the copper almost appears as a reflection when you look at it from certain angles. The knobs are a perfect accent and I think the whole piece is just awesome.
